I am spending most of the time at school, speaking English and surrounded by americans. There are days I forget that I live in Italy, because I do not get to interact to any Italians.
I realize that by just roaming around the city I won't be able to make a better connection to it as compared to having lively chats with people who live here.
As an international student in Bologna it is easy to rest inside the "Erasmus bubble" and lose any contact to locals. I am a curious person, always looking for new experiences and adventures.
I'd like to develop my Italian, and build a connection to people in Bologna to better understand the city I'm living in. I live in a bubble of foreign students, and it'd be great to escape from that.
I love Italian culture and I would like to meet new people and see typical family in Italia.
The perfect way to meet an authentic Italian family.
It seems to be difficult to get to know the real Bologna being an Erasmus student. I am very interested in seing how a real Bolognese family lives.
I'd love to become familiar with an Italian family in a home environment, and have an opportunity to practice and better my Italian, or help others with their English if they should so desire.
It is lovely to spend some time in a family environment and get to known some locals so that I can feel at home when I miss my own family!
DineHome is a wonderful idea to get in touch with the Italian language, food and culture and there is no better way to get to know it than with an Italian family.
Through DineHome, I hope to find the little known nooks and corners of the town, the stories of childhoods spent here.
